Newt Gingrich Still Thinks Mitt Romney Lied During Campaign

By Elicia Dover | ABC OTUS News – 8 hrs ago

Former Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich said Mitt Romney "said things that weren't true," over the course of the campaign.

Shown a new ad from the Obama campaign during an interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer Thursday - a clip reel of Gingrich's slams on Romney during the primary season - Gingrich laughed and said, "You have a rough-and-tumble primary season and you'll get words like that."

He was asked if he still believes Romney is a liar.

"I still believe the Romney campaign said things that weren't true," Gingrich said. "I also believe that compared to Barack Obama, I would trust Mitt Romney 100 times over."

Gingrich did not officially endorse Romney at the announcement he was suspending his campaign on Wednesday. He said he would do so in a couple of weeks, though the two had "not set a specific date."

Gingrich said the public would "absolutely" see him on the trail with Romney.

As for Gingrich's debt, he said he would conduct a lot of meetings, "begging people to help."

Gingrich also weighed in on the nomination for vice president, saying he thought Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., was ready to be president and "very knowledgeable."

Gingrich also mentioned Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, New Mexico Gov. Susanna Martinez and Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels as people Romney should consider.

"I like [Sen.] Rob Portman a lot," Gingrich added. "We have a really deep bench now of a whole new generation of people who are very confident."

Gingrich said that looking back on his campaign, the more "visionary" he was, the better he was doing in the polls.
"The more I got sucked into daily politics, the weaker we were," Gingrich said.

12 May 2012 - The World United

Gather everyone in your community, and have them strike the streets with you. We need to stop these madmen!!

You as a group have contributed least to the ominous problems now plaguing this country. Yet the heaviest burdens will be forced upon the already aching backs of your futures by the previous generations. Many of you are hoping, and have been told, that a good college education will be your guiding light in these dark times, but do you know the truth? Do you understand what's happening in the world of education: absurd tuition raises, loan schemes, and youth graduate unemployment? You must all seek out the truth because, if not, you will be yet another victim of the system. But don't despair, for we can save our futures and create something new and beautiful together if we American Youth cast off tainted labels and false ideology and unite in truthful rebellion, and demand truth, accountability, and integrity from our political and media systems. Let the truth and nothing but the truth prevail.

LAST NIGHT RON PAUL WAS IN BERKELEY, CA!

UNPRECEDENTED CROWD OF SUPPORTERS AND UNDECIDED VOTERS GREETS DR. PAUL AT FINAL OF THREE CALIFORNIA EVENTS HELD DURING THIS VISIT

LAKE JACKSON, Texas – 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul attracted a peculiar 8,500-plus voters to the third of three town hall meetings he held in California this week, this time at UC-Berkeley. In drawing such a huge crowd to Berkeley, the 12-term Congressman from Texas shattered his unrivaled town hall meeting attendance record.

At similar events held yesterday and Tuesday, respectively, Dr. Paul drew remarkable crowds of 6,200-plus voters to Cal State – Chico, and 6,000-plus at UCLA.

Ron Paul’s college campus town hall meeting took place at 7:00 p.m. PST at UC-Berkeley’s Memorial Glade, where he addressed the crowd from atop the steps of Doe Library, Berkeley, CA 94720.

Dr. Paul spoke about his platform of constitutionally-limited government, the enduring bonds between economic and civil liberties, and elements of his ‘Plan to Restore America,’ a fiscal blueprint the cuts Washington spending, shrinks the national debt, and reverses the federal government’s harmful growth and intrusiveness.

Ron Paul’s town hall meetings in California were organized by ‘Youth for Ron Paul’ (YFP). YFP, an initiative of the Ron Paul 2012 Presidential campaign, launched in September 2011, and since its inception, students nationwide have organized 591 chapters and recruited more than 53,600 people. West Coast leaders launch plan to create a million new jobs by 2020

By: Pacific Coast Collaborative

VANCOUVER, March 13, 2012 - Gathering on the eve of the GLOBE Conference on Business and the Environment, leaders from British Columbia, California, Oregon and Washington today endorsed a bold new action agenda to grow the clean economy along the West Coast.

"B.C. is proud to host this year's Leaders Forum," said British Columbia Premier Christy Clark. "The Pacific Coast Collaborative is a unique and innovative vehicle for West Coast leaders to identify collaborative strategies in a face-to-face setting. Today's meeting is the culmination of months of work within our four jurisdictions on an action plan to create jobs and strengthen the economy of our shared mega-region."

To guide the 2012 West Coast Action Plan on Jobs, Pacific Coast Collaborative Leaders commissioned an economic analysis of the clean economy to identify the most promising markets for job creation, including energy-efficient buildings and advanced transportation. All told, the new report, West Coast Clean Economy: Opportunities for Investment & Accelerated Job Creation, released today, found that the $47-billion clean economy sector could triple in size by 2020, given the right policies and partnerships.

"We have proof that our actions are already working," said Washington Governor and Pacific Coast Collaborative Chair Chris Gregoire. "Now we want to go even faster – and create up to one million jobs in the next decade through the 2012 Action Plan on Jobs. Through collaboration and low-carbon innovation, we have developed a win-win competitive strategy that will continue to work well for all of our jurisdictions."

The 2012 West Coast Action Plan on Jobs outlines a series of measurable commitments by each jurisdiction for retrofitting state-owned buildings, fleet purchasing of advanced technology vehicles, and creating world-class energy standards to incentivize private sector leadership and advanced manufacturing.

For example, each of the four jurisdictions has pledged to implement strategies to move the public building stock toward net-zero energy building performance, beginning with a commitment to achieve at least a 20 per cent improvement in energy use by 2020, within the context of programs within each jurisdiction.

"We have come together here in Vancouver to reject the myth that jobs and the environment are in conflict," said Oregon Governor John Kitzhaber. "More than 500,000 Pacific Coast residents are cashing clean economy paychecks right now. And job creation rates in the clean economy are well above those for other shrinking sectors of the economy, pay better, and have been more resilient to the recent economic downturn."

"California already gets 20 per cent of our energy from renewables, and by 2020 we'll achieve 33 percent or more," said California Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. "Our policies are building new markets and spurring creativity globally. By working collaboratively with our Pacific Coast neighbours, we can set the terms for long-term job growth and economic strength."
