Ron Paul supporters sue GOP, claiming intimidation

By STEPHEN OHLEMACHER | Associated Press

WASHINGTON (AP) — Supporters of GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul have filed a lawsuit against the Republican National Committee and nearly every state party claiming they improperly helped Mitt Romney during the primaries while using intimidation and threats of violence to thwart them.

Paul's campaign says the Texas congressman doesn't support the lawsuit. An RNC official called it frivolous.
The lawsuit asks a federal court in California to clarify whether delegates attending the national convention in August can vote for any candidate they choose, even if they were won by Romney. Most state parties require delegates to vote for the candidate who won them in primaries or caucuses.(NOT TRUE)

The lawsuit was filed June 11 by more than 100 people who say they are delegates, though some aren't on lists released by state parties.

What Is the Children Learning? CA Pushes Gay History Into State Curriculum

Never mind that homosexuality is an extremely divisive issue, in California classrooms it is not enough merely to tolerate—teachers are required to advocate.

SB 48, the so-called gay history bill, was signed by California's Governor Jerry Brown with the ironic statement that "history must be honest". Yet this law explicitly prohibits honesty in the classroom.

It was pushed through California's radical legislature supposedly as a further weapon in the war on bullying. But the law says nothing about bullying. Instead it mandates that all social science classes, starting at kindergarten, add curriculum that is positive toward lesbian, gay, transgender and bisexual accomplishments in the social sciences, including history. But even more, it outlaws curriculum that "reflects adversely" on these same groups. SB 48 also prohibits a parent opting out of this radical curriculum.

So what harm is there in only saying positive things about a group of people and avoiding saying anything bad? In a social science class, this could present a rather distorted view of the world. Recently a group of gay activists was invited to the White House. Some media outlets found it newsworthy when a few of those activists posed for pictures while making rude finger gestures at a portrait of Ronald Reagan. In California, post SB48, a newspaper story recounting this ugly display would be banned in any school current events class.

Even faithfully liberal voices like the Los Angeles Times criticized the misguided law by noting, "Real history is richer and more complicated than feel good depictions."

A broad coalition is backing a ballot initiative called the CLASS Act. The Children Learning Accurate Social Science Act demands that social science curriculum include individuals based on their contributions to society, not their sexual orientation. And it goes further to require that no person is left out of books or instruction based solely on their sexual preference.

We need your help! There is less than a week left to collect the necessary signatures to put the CLASS Act on the California ballot. Supporters of the CLASS Act need signatures and additional funding to get their message out.

Download and sign a petition today in order to place the CLASS Act on the ballot and let the people decide if this is what they want their children taught in the California schools.

It is easy to see why Californians might take the time to help with this cause, but why would those who live outside the Golden State care? California is not Las Vegas. What happens here rarely stays here. The wonderful and the worst are exported equally to the other 49 states and the world. Defeat SB 48 in California now or look for it in a school near you.

Who to turn to? The youth has the future, counterparts maybe disqualified

A conflict of interestseems to arise with all the other Candidates, besides myself and Tony Stevens, based on the fact that they will all have to bring up the city employees' pensions, being that it is one of the top priorities for the City's agenda. Only one of the other Candidates are able to vote on this extensively overpaid, but dramatically underfunded, so it's a key factor to Stockton's negative revenue.

Ralph Lee White is a 'Retired' City Council Member for Stockton, during the 1970's and 1980's. If he has been out of the political spectrum for so long, as with Jimmie, are out of touch with the majority of Stockton and its overwhelmingly young citizens. The same goes for Ann Johnston, because I believe she will be drafting her own notice to withdraw herself from the race. Tony and I share the one characteristic that will benefit this great city, we have no personal attachment to the City's pension reform, something that must be dealt with immediately after either one of us are elected. Fo

Why don't they stay retired? They are taking jobs from persons with little to no income, when they already have a substantial amount coming in each month, and they have an odd way of appeasing the public, by giving them more of the (expletive) they've been fed over and over.

I Gregory S. Pitsch have a plan to reduce the crime in our city, by allocating more resources to the Police Force. Yeah, even if that means a few other policies have to be eliminated completely. First and foremost we need our city to be safe enough to conduct business in for the future generation of Stocktonians. Will you help me Solve Stockton?

Jeb Bush Endorses Romney

I was wondering why the Media was making a big deal out of this particular Bush's Endorsement. The Son of President George H.W. Bush, and Little Brother of George W. Bush, Jeb Bush is the next in the family to reign over this country. Last week Jeb Bush made his endorsement of Mitt Romney public.

I for one think any endorsements from the bush family should be shunned, and looked at as being similar to an endorsement from Adolf Hitler. Both of the Bush's that have served in the Oval office have somehow escaped prosecution for their horrendous war crimes. Both of whom lied to congress on multiple counts, as well as took us to unsanctioned wars in Iraq to dethrone Saddam Hussein.

More than Likely, Jeb Bush will be on the GOP Ticket in 2016, but still his endorsement shall poison Romney's chances of securing the nomination.

Ron Paul Supporters Cause County Convention Chaos

By Jason M. Volack

After 25 state election contests, Ron Paul remains without a single win. But the Texas congressman isn’t giving up hope of capturing the Republican nomination.
Aides say Paul is banking on his organization to help him pick up a plurality or even a majority of delegates in several state conventions, including Maine, Washington State, Alaska, Nevada, North Dakota and Iowa.

And as the campaigning continues, there are signs that Paul supporters are willing to make the nominating process messy.

They’re accused of muddying county conventions in Colorado and Iowa last weekend.

In Iowa, a half dozen counties reported disruptions during conventions. The most egregious example occurred in Polk County, where Paul supporters illegally tried to become delegates.

“They were abrasive, offensive, and self-centered,” said Kevin McLaughlin, GOP chairman in Polk County.

In Colorado, Ron Paul supporters shouted down Denver County GOP Chairman Danny Stroud, demanding rule changes in favor of their candidate.
“A small, loud group attempted to hijack the assembly and trample on the rights of those who took time out of their busy lives to participate in the political process,” Stroud said in a statement to the Denver Post.

Colorado GOP Executive Director Chuck Poplstein says he “not totally surprised” by the action of the Ron Paul supporters who, because of previous elections, are naturally inclined to be suspect of the system. But, he added, the supporters did eventually behave themselves.

Paul Campaign Chair Jesse Benton calls the allegations against his supporters “silly,” claiming that those who are complaining are frustrated with being out-organized.

“These silly complaints are all spin and whining from supporters of other candidates who are frustrated that Dr. Paul’s supporters have out-organized and out-hustled them,” said Benton in an email.

However, Iowa’s McLaughlin said Paul supporters were attempting to become delegates illegally.

State law clearly defines the manner in which delegates are elected, at precinct caucuses, yet some Paul supporters argued for a rule change that would allow them to be seated.

They were eventually voted down, but not before some protesters were thrown out because of repeated disruptions, including sneaking around backstage. Some were caught rifling through delegate packets trying to find precincts where people did not show up so they could claim those seats.

“They wanted to be seated even though they were not elected,” said McLaughlin.

The Iowa Republican newspaper reports that much of this behavior was inspired and encouraged by Ron Paul’s Iowa campaign itself, led by his state co-chair’s Drew Ivers and David Fischer who in an email told supporters the key is “to get elected” and “to be aggressive.”

“Remember, to get elected, the first key is to be aggressive so make sure you jump up as soon as nominations are open. If there are any votes, make sure you vote ONLY for Ron Paul supporters. A vote for anyone who is not a Ron Paul supporter could cost us seats at the District and State Conventions.”
Benton, asked about the Iowa campaign’s tactics as defined in this email, responded to ABC News via email.

“David and Drew are deeply respected men of unimpeachable integrity and are spearheading a convention operation second to none,” he wrote.
McLaughlin said that it’s difficult to pin all the disruptions on Ron Paul supporters, admitting that some could have been Occupy Wall Street protesters. But, he says, the Paul supporters were the most vocal and have given their candidate a bad name in the county.

The disruptions slowed down the convention by at least a couple of hours.

“In my experience it was all very unusual,” said McLaughlin, a veteran GOP member who has served through many conventions.

In Iowa, the drama is expected to continue at the district conventions in April, but McLaughlin says the strategy of aggressive disruptions so far has not produced any extra delegates for the Texas congressman in his state.

“That’s just not going to happen,” McLaughlin said.

Ron Paul Tells Reporters He Is Suspicious About Results Of GOP Caucuses

Congressman says he has “theories” that foul play may be involved

In a conversation with reporters in Missouri this weekend, GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul said that he and his supporters were suspicious about the outcomes of several caucuses because the crowds and volumes of support have been much bigger for him than for any other candidate.
“Quite frankly I don’t think the other candidates get crowds like this, and we get them constantly” Paul said, after he had spoken to yet another crowd of over 2500 supporters in Missouri.

“You would get the perception that we would be getting a lot more votes.” He added.

“Sometimes we get thousands of people like this and we’ll take them to the polling booth, yet we won’t win the caucus.” Paul said, adding “A lot of our supporters are very suspicious about it.”

When informed that Santorum had won the Kansas caucuses, Paul admitted that he had not seen the numbers on it at that point but again reiterated his point, stating:

“That reminds me of a picture I just looked at. I had four thousand people and he had a hundred and fifty. So who knows.”
The picture, below, shows a huge turn out at a Kansas town hall meeting for Paul this weekend, compared to virtually nobody showing at Santorum’s event.

The Congressman admitted he could not elaborate on his suspicions but commented “It’s just instinct and hearsay stories, verbal stories that you hear and the kind of things that we heard about up in Maine.”

“They said we can’t have a recount because they just write these numbers down on pieces of paper and then throw them away afterwards. So it’s that kind of stuff that makes you suspicious.” Paul urged.

As we previously reported, evidence of possible vote fraud has been uncovered in Maine, where several towns and counties that Ron Paul won were omitted from the final state count for no identifiable reason.

Ron Paul Says Santorum Can't Beat Obama

By Alexandre Jaffe
Ron Paul said he doesn't think that Rick Santorum can defeat President Obama in a general election. "I don't see how that's possible," he said on Sunday on CNN's State of the Union.

Paul also jabbed at Santorum for his aim “to control peoples’ lives” and what he framed as Santorum’s hypocrisy on the birth control issue. Santorum admitted in a 2006 interview on Fox News that he supported Title X, a government program that provides funds for family planning services, including access to contraceptives. Santorum said he voted for it during his time as Pennsylvania Senator, and though he believes in access to contraceptives, he personally feels they’re harmful to women and that abstinence education is a "healthier" option.

"I don't see how anybody can get away with that inconsistency—pretending he's a conservative,” Paul said in reference to Santorum’s vote. Paul dismissed the recent debate over contraception entirely, saying that while the other candidates discuss birth control, he's concerned with "the undermining of our civil liberties, the constant wars going on" and the debt.

Paul said the focus on social issues is a fundamental problem and an unwise fight for the GOP.

"I think it's a losing position," he said. "I talk about it because I have a precise understanding of how these problems are to be solved," on a state-specific level, he said.

Get To The Facts Already

I have been dazzled by the quickness we are spinning right now, we must have really picked up speed... It's been day & Nite, radpidly rotating and causing a lapse in judgement when applied to time. We shall see what is in the cosmos for us in 2012...? Interesting insights from the wizard show there is only the inner most thought in everyones mind, as if we have all had the same dream.. You know the dream.... Categorize as defiant at times, I often feel like I'm the most intelligent being in my surroundings. Rebellious at heart, any strength I have acquired I can now multiply it's intensity. Fear isn't the tactic, it's the the reaction from being lied to. Wait you'll be more surprised to see the Gui-Chit, On your knees, head forward, that's chit.

Hold on tight cause, something is changing and its coming quick... I am not one for predictions, but I'm guessing Ron Paul is going to win the 2012 Presidential Election, and a week before his inauguration he will Start Pursuing his passion for Poker. It's obvious how he is quick to smile at one's mistakes, but forgets when to establish which side he takes. This is due to the fact that Ron Paul has no reason to explain the other candidates tactics that don't work. It has been hard enough for him to get his word out, and he is being shunned again by the main stream media.
